    PHILLIPS WINS NO. 250 AT PITT-BRADFORD Pitt-Bradford head softball coach Tina Phillips won her 250th career game at Pitt-Bradford Saturday, as the Panthers split a doubleheader with Westminster.

    Jaimie Schleicher, Pitt-Greensburg, Softball - Pitcher Schleicher went 2-0 on the week, as she picked up wins over Geneva and Waynesburg. Against Geneva, she went the distance, giving up eight hits and no runs, while striking out two and walking only one batter. On Friday against Waynesburg, she pitched the complete five inning game, giving up no runs and only two hits while striking out six and walking one. Schleicher finished the week with 12 innings pitched and a 0.00 ERA.

    Mercedes Sulzbach, Medaille College, Softball - Player Sulzbach had an outstanding week for the Mavericks, helping them go 2-2 with a double header sweep over Wells College. Sulzbach went 6-11 with a .545 hitting percentage and one triple last week. She knocked home three RBI and scored four runs herself with an outstanding .727 slugging percentage.

    Ashley Carney, D'Youville College, Softball - Player Carney has had a stellar start to her career as a D'Youville Spartan. In four games this season (all last week), Carney is currently batting .727 with a .750 on base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. In her first career collegiate game against Lawrence on Saturday, Carney went 4-4, including scoring two runs. She has a hit in all four games this season, two games of which were multi-hit games. She also has one stolen base and recorded one RBI with three runs, a double and a triple.

    Marisa McIntyre, Hilbert College, Softball - Pitcher McIntyre leads the AMCC in wins (5) and strike outs (52) in six games. Her 1.49 era is third best in the league with the 4th highest number of innings pitched. She has collected one shutout, gone five complete games with seven starts and averages 9.66 strike outs per game, all league-leading stats.

    Sharon Trigilio, Medaille College, Softball - Player Trigilio had an outstanding week for the Mavericks at the Fast Pitch Dreams Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Trigilio lead all Maverick batters with 23 hits, good for a batting average of .511. Five of those hits went for extra bases and she batted in a team best 29 runs. She struck out just once and went 9-9 in stolen bases, helping the Mavericks earn a 7-5 record. Trigilio also recorded 11 RBI and scored 10 runs of her own. She was just as good in the field, earning a 1.000 fielding percentage, getting 11 put-outs and two assists.

    FRANCISCAN SOFTBALL VOLUNTEERS TIME WITH MIRACLE LEAGUE The Franciscan University softball team worked with the Miracle League of the Ohio Valley throughout its fall this year and the season wrapped up just a few weeks ago.
