HILBERT COLLEGE: HEAD WOMEN'S & MEN'S VOLLEYBALL COACH + ATHLETICS CAMPS AND CLINICS COORDINATOR (FT, 12 month)

Job Summary (Head Coach): Direct all aspects of the NCAA Division III Women's and Men's Volleyball programs -- Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all activities related to these programs. These areas include, but are not limited to planning and supervision of practices, games/matches, management of budgets, control of equipment and supplies, recruiting potential student-athletes-including international student-athletes, scouting opponents, and organization and implementation of program development activities. Recruit an appropriate number of competent student-athletes to field teams meeting and exceeding NCAA competition minimum standards. Oversee all game/match coaching and practice sessions with the aid of assistant coaches, where applicable. Conduct team try-outs, plan and schedule regular practice sessions, where applicable. Prepare effective team strategy for formal contests. Evaluate team and individual performances. Abide by NCAA and AMCC rules and regulations. Coordinate an effective in-season and out-of-season player conditioning program. Provide input on scheduling and monitor team budgets. Maintain accurate uniform and equipment inventories; project future supply needs. Assist in planning and closely supervising all team travel. Serve as a positive role model for all student-athletes. Develop and maintain good communication with team members; utilize effective motivational strategies. Develop and implement demanding but fair, equitable team policies and training rules. Cultivate good rapport with other teams, athletics staff, and all offices on campus. Develop an effective working relationship with the media, officials, opponents, booster club, former players (alumni/ae), and organizations with whom we work with for team fundraising. Review and confirm team statistics and assist with conference pre/post-season award process. Attend conference wide-meetings, clinics, and workshops, where applicable. Make hiring recommendations; train and orientate assistant coaches.
 
Job Summary (Athletics Camps & Clinics Coordinator): Serve as the Department point of contact for registrations, communications, paperwork, and check-in processes, where applicable. Assist sport camp coaches and directors, where applicable. Other duties as assigned.
 
Job Requirements: Knowledge of NCAA and AMCC rules and regulations. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer). Should have working knowledge of the NCAA manual, compliance regulations, social media etiquette. Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Able to pay close attention to details. Able to work independently as well as being able to supervise and be supervised by others. Willing to work long days, nights, weekends, holidays, summers, and willing to travel long distances at all hours. Able to work under deadlines and pressures. Knowledge of the collegiate athletics recruiting process and proven ability to recruit prospective student-athletes and retain and graduate current student-athletes.
 
Minimum Qualifications: Playing and coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level. Valid driver's license. Current AED/CPR + First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain upon employment. Bachelor's degree, preferred

HILBERT COLLEGE: ATHLETICS FACILITIES & EVENT MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR

Job Summary:  Supervise athletics facilities and coordinate scheduling of all athletics facilities, including rental activity and community groups.  Serve as the site supervisor and staff athletics home events, as assigned.  Maintain a monthly/yearly calendar with all varsity practices and games, as well as any scheduled campus events. Manage all rentals and paperwork for Hilbert varsity athletics teams at off-campus locations and for groups renting Hilbert College athletics facilities. Monitor facility protocol for compliance with all NCAA, state and institutional guidelines. Work with Director of Athletics and coaches to ensure that facilities align with NCAA sport-specific rules. Staff and supervise home events, as assigned. Collaborate with campus and community groups for athletics special events. Prepare and manage budget for athletic facilities. Coordinate facility risk management and safety evaluations. Supervise operations in the Hawks Fitness Center and Hafner Recreation Center, including cleaning and maintenance of all indoor/outdoor facilities. Identify equipment to be purchased. Oversee all aspects of student employment, including supervision and support, and timely submission of paperwork and timesheets. Maintain positive, collegial relationships with department and campus partners. 

Requirements/Qualifications:   Knowledge of NCAA, AMCC, and NEAC rules and regulations.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to multi-task at a high level, establish priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge of fitness equipment and machinery and equipment used for athletic venues. Able to work independently as well as supervise others. Strong organizational and communication skills. Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer. Able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to approximately 50 lbs.). Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.  Bachelor’s degree required.  Minimum 1 year of post-graduate experience working with athletics event management and facilities.  Ability to manage recording and streaming of athletics events for film exchange.  Valid driver’s license.  Experience with graphic design and video editing preferred.
