HILBERT COLLEGE - HEAD MEN'S SOCCER COACH/ATHLETICS OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Job Summary:
 Primarily function as the Head Coach for the men’s soccer team, directing all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III program.  In addition, assist with all duties related to athletics operations.  Responsible for the planning and supervision of practices, games/matches, management of budgets, control of equipment and supplies, recruiting potential student-athletes - including international student-athletes, scouting opponents, and organization and implementation of program development activities. Abide by NCAA and AMCC rules and regulations, assist in planning and closely supervising all team travel and  serve as a positive role model for all student-athletes. Manage the issue, retrieval, and storage of equipment and uniforms for all of Hilbert College’s athletics teams; ensure that indoor and outdoor athletic equipment is in good working order and perform general repairs when needed. Assist with the management of the Hawks Fitness Center, including but not limited to, providing facility coverage as needed, assisting with the supervision of student employees, and assist with event management operations, where applicable. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

 

Requirements/Qualifications: Knowledge of NCAA and AMCC/NEAC rules and regulations; knowledge of the collegiate athletics recruiting process and proven ability to recruit prospective student-athletes and retain and graduate current student-athletes; basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer). Should have working knowledge of the NCAA manual, compliance regulations, and social media etiquette.  Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; able to work under deadlines and pressures; willing to work long days, nights, weekends, holidays, summers, and willing to travel long distances at all hours. Playing and coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level; valid driver license; current AED/CPR + First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain upon employment; Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

PITT-GREENSBURG - HEAD MEN'S SOCCER COACH (Part-time)

Responsible for coaching the University’s men’s soccer team.  Provide leadership, organization and supervision for the men’s soccer program.  Recruitment of student-athletes, conduct practices and conditioning sessions, scouting of opposing teams, coordinate fundraising activities, promotions, organizing camps, clinics and follow all the rules of the NCAA, the AMCC and the Department of Athletics Code of Conduct. 

BA/BS required.  Masters preferred.  Excellent coaching, instruction and leadership skills.  Complete understanding of NCAA Division III rules.  Computer literate.  Ability to train and manage student workers and volunteers.  Must complete certification for AED, CPR and first aid upon hire.

HILBERT COLLEGE - HEAD MEN'S & WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY COACH (Part-time)

Job Summary: Directs all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III cross country program and is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all activities related to the men’s and women’s cross country teams.  These areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruiting
  • Planning and closely supervising practices & meets and all team travel
  • Managing team budgets
  • Overseeing equipment and uniform purchases, inventories, and budgets
  • Abiding by NCAA & AMCC rules & regulations
  • Serving as a positive role model for the Hilbert community
  • Developing and maintaining good communication with student-athletes, recruits, Department & College faculty & staff
  • Mentoring assistant coach(es)

Requirements/Qualifications: Knowledge of NCAA & AMCC rules and regulations; basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer); strong communication & interpersonal skills; willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings & weekends, some weekday travel required; strong organizational skills; playing & coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level; Bachelor’s degree preferred; valid driver’s license.
