DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Carlow JR Rebecca Hess led the Celtics to a 2-1 record with 32 kills, 44 digs and eight service aces following Carlow's final game of the USCAA Tip-Off Tournament. Hess averaged 4.40 digs per set and added five blocks to lead her team on the defensive side of the net. 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona L Anna Batrus led the Lions in digs during their weekend at the Great Lakes Cross Over, where the team went 1-3 against St. Mary's (IN), Kenyon, Olivet, and Kalamazoo, as she totaled 62 digs in the four matches and averaged 4.43 digs per set...La Roche DS Mackenzie Kerkan opened her final season strong, as she was perfect on the defensive end for La Roche in its 3-0 win over Penn State Shenango, she ended the afternoon with a game high 16 digs to go alongside a perfect reception percentage, while also chipping in with a kill, an assist and a service ace...Mount Aloysius L Madison Barr was the most consistent performer for the Mounties over the weekend, stepping into the starting lineup for the first time in her career, she tallied double-digit digs in all three games, with a career-high of 15 against Catholic, she also recorded 36 service receptions against Catholic and added 14 digs against Swarthmore, where she had 4.67 digs per set...Hilbert L Natalie Ruhlmann had a strong first weekend with the Hawks, receiving at .816, with 34 total digs (3.78 digs per set), as she also added a kill, four assists and two aces.
