The Penn State Altoona women's soccer team seized an opportunity to come together as a team while also giving back to the local community on Sunday afternoon.
The 2015 Lady Lions squad and its coaching staff held a preseason team bonding activity at Prince Gallitzin State Park. Afterward, the team gathered litter along the trails into trash bags while also removing hazardous fallen trees and other obstacles from the paths.
The team is planning to adopt a trail at the park, which would entail members of the women's soccer program visiting their trail three times per year to clean and maintain it.
