On Monday, November 23, the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team and coaching staff served Thanksgiving dinner to members of the community at the Salvation Army in Greensburg. Over 150 people attended the dinner. Before the meal was served, they decorated the hall and prepared for dinner. Once guests started to arrive, they were responsible for checking everyone in, serving dinner, dessert, and drinks, and cleaning tables as new guests arrived. At the conclusion of the dinner, the basketball team helped Captain Pamela Rhodes tear down the dining hall – stacking chairs and tables and taking down Thanksgiving decorations.
The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team continues to be thankful for the many opportunities the Salvation Army has given them to volunteer in the local community. Through these experiences, they are constantly reminded how grateful they are for all that they have.
