On Wednesday August 16, the Mount Aloysius College volleyball team volunteered at the Humane Society in Johnstown, PA. The whole team was very excited to help out the staff and volunteers with their daily jobs. The staff and volunteers were very appreciative with the service and help the volleyball team provided.
The volleyball team helped out in many ways. Some players cleaned and set up the cats' cages while giving them some love and care. Other players swept and mopped the floors, cleaned the closets, did all the dirty laundry and played with the cats.
Sophomore setter Emma Pevarnik stated, "It was such a great feeling to be able to help out the Humane Society knowing that these dogs and cats don't have their own home. I loved being able to give them the attention they don't always get."
