AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR SEPTEMBER 7-12, 2021
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's soccer, men's golf, and women's volleyball and tennis for the period running from September 7-12, 2021.

Women's Volleyball (Offensive): Pitt-Bradford OH Emily Cleveland led the Panthers to a 5-0 record this week, including a tournament title at the Buttermaker Classic at Muhlenberg. Cleveland totaled 83 kills in the 5 games, hitting at a .331 clip. On the first day of the tournament, Cleveland was especially lethal, putting down 36 kills on just 49 swings while committing only two errors. Cleveland also added four service aces, 25 digs and seven total blocks on her way to being named to the all-tournament team.
Women's Volleyball (Defensive): Pitt-Bradford DS Stephanie Carson stepped into the Pitt-Bradford line-up after an injury and became a huge part of the Panthers' 5-0 week. She totaled 89 digs in the five matches, including 52 on the final day of the Buttermaker Challenge against Gallaudet and Neumann. She also tallied 11 service aces over a three game stretch.
Women's Soccer (Offensive): Pitt-Greensburg F Ashley Lucas scored four goals last week, scoring two in each of the Bobcats' two games. She record two of Pitt-Greensburg's three goals in a 3-1 victory at Saint Vincent, and also picked up two goals and an assist in an 8-0 win over Muskingum. Lucas recorded nine points in a 2-0 week for the Bobcats.
Women's Soccer (Defensive): Pitt-Greensburg D Nylah Pannebaker played the most minutes on the Bobcat defense that gave up just one goal in two games throughout the week. The Bobcats beat Saint Vincent 3-1 before blanking Muskingum 8-0 over the weekend.
Men's Soccer (Offensive): PS-Altoona M Damian Dangler scored a hat trick for the Lions to lead Penn State Altoona past non-conference opponent Wilson College on Wednesday night at home. The freshman finished the night with three goals for a total of six points. He took four shots and put three on goal.
Men's Soccer (Defensive): PS-Altoona D Owen Myers spearheaded Penn State Altoona's defensive efforts in the Lions' 5-0 shutout win over non-conference opponent Wilson College at home on Wednesday night. The freshman defender helped his team limit Wilson to just six shot attempts and only two shots on goal.
Women's Tennis: PS-Behrend JR Erica Jasinski helped the Lions to a 2-0 start to the season. She posted a 2-0 singles record at the No. 1 spot and a 2-0 doubles mark at No. 2. She only gave up four set points in singles action, winning 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-0.
Men's Tennis: PS-Behrend SR Michael Brudy did not give up a set point in singles or doubles action against Pitt-Bradford on Saturday. He swept at No. 3 singles and then won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles for the Lions' first conference win. Brudy was also the lone singles winner vs. Nazareth in the season opener on Wednesday.
