AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR JANUARY 2-8, 2023
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's basketball and men's wrestling for the period running from January 2-8, 2023.

Men's Wrestling: Pitt-Bradford SO Braedon Johnson had an impressive debut in a Pitt-Bradford uniform, as he picked up three victories by pins in the AMCC Quad meet this weekend, wrestling in the 141 lb weight class. He started the day with a fall at 1:23 in the Panthers' win over Hiram. He followed this up with his second straight pin, winning his match in 1:29 in the victory over Penn State-Behrend. Finally, he closed the event with his most impressive bout of the day in the Panthers' loss to Alfred State. He pinned Alfred State's 2022 National Championship qualifier in just 41 seconds to give Pitt-Bradford a then 12-6 lead.
Men's Basketball: Pitt-Greensburg G Jojo France led the way for the Bobcats on the offensive end, averaging 28 points per game. JoJo took over second place on the Pitt-Greensburg all-time scoring list with 1,550 career points on Saturday. France had a week-high 30 points in the Bobcat's first conference game against Hilbert. He then scored 26 points in Pitt-Greensburg's win over Alfred State. France played all but six minutes of the two games this week.
Women's Basketball: Pitt-Greensburg G Sidney McCully had a solid all-around week for the Bobcats, who started 2-0 in conference play. McCully had a season-high in rebounds (12), assists (9), and steals (5) in Pitt-Greensburg's win against Alfred State in which she also scored 16 points. McCully recorded 19 rebounds and 15 assists on the week. Over two games, she averaged 20.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 4.0 steals.
