AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR JAUARY 12-18, 2026
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's basketball, wrestling, and men's volleyball for the period running from January 12-18, 2026.
Men's Basketball: La Roche G Bryce Epps had a fantastic week for La Roche, helping the Redhawks to a 2-0 record on the week, including a 25 point performance in an overtime thriller over Penn State Altoona. In Wednesday's victory over Mount Aloysius, Epps contributed 16 points, hitting a trio of triples, while adding eight rebounds. He followed that performance in Saturday's overtime victory over Penn State Altoona with another 25 points on 50% shooting from the floor, adding seven more rebounds, three assists and a steal. For the week, Epps averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He shot 43.3% from the field and 36% from behind the arc while going 10-for-14 (83.3%) from the free throw line.
Women's Basketball: La Roche G Jazmine Dunn put together yet another stellar week, as she lifted the Redhawks to two more victories, staying unbeaten in AMCC play. In Wednesday's victory over Mount Aloysius, Dunn scored 16 points, shooting 54.5% from the floor and 50% from three, while adding four rebounds, eight assists and three steals. She followed that performance in Saturday's win over Penn State Altoona with 30 points, making 10-of-19 from the floor, including six three-pointers. Dunn also had a double-double with 12 rebounds in the contest, four assists and another steal. For the week, Dunn averaged 23 points, shot 53.3% from the field (16-of-30), 52.9% from three (9-of-17), and 100% (5-for-5) from the free throw line. She also averaged eight rebounds, six assists and steals, steals for the week, including a 4.0 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Men's Wrestling: Pitt-Bradford SR D.J. Slovick (174) reached a career milestone on Saturday, as he became the first wrestler in program history to reach 100 career victories. In a dual with Slippery Rock, Slovick pinned his opponent in 3:30 to earn win number 100 and pin number 52.
Women's Wrestling: Elmira JR Zoey Lints (145), nationally ranked No. 3, was a pivotal wrestler for the Soaring Eagles at the Will Abele Invitational this past weekend. Lints posted a 4-0 record in the 145-weight class to secure a first-place finish overall. Her individual first-place finish helped paved the way for Elmira to secure a fourth place finish out of 18 teams. Lints recorded three falls and one tech fall on the weekend. In her first match, her fall came at 1:29 followed by a fall at 0:29 in her second bout. In her third bout, she recorded a 12-2 tech fall rounded out by a fall at 1:23 in her final match of the day. Lints now sits at a 30-1 overall record and 17-0 dual record.
Men's Volleyball (Offensive): Buffalo State OH Gavin Wilczewski was stellar as he helped lead the Bengals to a 4-0 start to the season, including wins over #20 Misericordia and #16 Hobart. In three matches played, Wilczewski totaled 41 kills, a .318 hitting percentage, eight digs, and eight total blocks. His weekend was highlighted with 19 kills and a .412 hitting percentage in the win over Misericordia.
Men's Vollleyball (Defensive): Buffalo State MB Kaden Strong had a strong weekend for the Bengals as Buffalo State went 4-0 to start the season. Strong tallied seven digs and 12 total blocks, including six in Buffalo State's five-set thrilling win over #16 Hobart. Strong also added 21 kills and a .462 hitting percentage for the Bengals.
