AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR OCTOBER 13-19, 2025
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's soccer, cross country, women's volleyball, and women's tennis for the period running from October 13-19, 2025.
Women's Cross Country: PS-Altoona SR Victoria Scutti had Penn State Altoona's fastest time in Saturday's Gettysburg Invitational 6K race, clocking in at 23:43.8 to wrap up 54th place out of 300 individual runners. Scutti's 6k time of 23:43.8 is also the fastest time in the AMCC this season for the women.
Men's Cross Country: PS-Behrend FR Ethan Vaughan paced the Lions with his fastest time of the season. He clocked in at 26:39.5 to finish 47th overall at the Oberlin Regional Rumble on Saturday.
Women's Soccer (Offensive): PS-Behrend F Bri Ross had a seven-points in a 2-0 week for the Lions. She tallied her second hat trick of the season against Pitt-Bradford, netting the game winner and then added an assist in a victory over La Roche on Saturday.
Women's Soccer (Defensive): Pitt-Greensburg D Dionna Santia played all 180 minutes this past week, anchoring the defense in two conference shutouts and allowing a total of two shots on goal. Santia also contributed to the offense with two assists against LaRoche and added in a beautiful goal directly off a corner kick vs Hilbert to give the team a 2-0 record in AMCC play this week.
Men's Soccer (Offensive): Alfred State F Henry Leahy recorded seven points last week in a 1-0-1 week for the Pioneers, as he scored three goals and added one assist. He scored two goals in a 3-3 tie vs. Hilbert, then added a goal and an assist in a 7-0 win over Penn State Altoona. Leahy is currently leading the conference in goals scored.
Men's Soccer (Defensive): PS-Behrend D Brock Kiefer led the Lions defensively in a 2-0 week in conference play. He led the Lion defense on Wednesday in a victory over Pitt-Bradford while also registering a goal and an assist. He followed that up on Saturday when the Lions shut out La Roche by only allowing one shot on goal by the Redhawks. Kiefer also tallied an assist from in the back in the 3-0 victory.
Women's Volleyball (Offensive): Pitt-Bradford RS Lilly Bentley recorded 31 kills and averaged 4.43 kills per set in a 1-1 week for the Panthers. Bentley had 15 kills and 11 digs in a 3-1 loss to Behrend, then recorded 16 kills, four digs and four blocks in a 3-0 win over Carlow. For the week she totaled 31 kills, four aces, 15 digs and seven total blocks, averaging 5.6 points per set for the Panthers.
Women's Volleyball (Defensive): La Roche L Kaci DePalma continued to impress in her freshman campaign, as she helped the Redhawks to a 2-0 record on the week. In Wednesday's victory over Pitt-Greensburg, DePalma collected 29 digs, averaging 5.8 per set, had a .917 reception percentage and added a kill. In Saturday's 3-0 victory over Penn State Behrend, she contributed another 17 digs, averaging 5.67 per set, helped with five assists and added a service ace. On the week, she recorded 46 total digs, averaging 5.75 digs per set. For the season, DePalma leads the AMCC in digs per set (5.28) and is third in total digs (354).
