AMCC baseball teams have been battling fierce weather all spring and are entering the final stretch of the regular season. Not only are they trying to get all of their conference gamed played, but they're also trying to rise as high as they can in conference standings as the conference tournament is suddenly in sight. The AMCC baseball game of the week features fifth-place Penn St. Altoona (7-7) at fourth-place Pitt-Bradford (7-4). 

The Lions have won four straight including a sweep of conference rival Mount Aloysius College on Thursday afternoon. Outfielder Pete Jacobs leads the Lions and ranks fifth in the conference with a .406 batting average. Fellow outfielder Jim Shomberg has recorded a team-high 31 RBI, while Jacobs and Shomberg are tied with a team-leading four home runs on the season. On the mound, Dylan Bates has recorded a team-high 22 strikeouts while Tyler Manger is tied for second in the conference with two saves.

The Panthers have won four of their past five games, including taking two from D'Youville College on Sunday. Pitt-Bradford catcher Austin Parent tops the conference with a commanding .471 batting average. Parent is also tied for fourth in the league with 33 RBI and has roped five home runs. Junior Ryan Boyer has been a dominant force on the mound all season, as he ranks second in the AMCC with a 2.16 ERA, fanned 56 batters, and has recorded four wins on the season.
