The AMCC Baseball Games of the Week feature the two teams currently at the top of conference standings -- the 4-0 Alfred State College Pioneers and the 4-2 Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats.

The Alfred State Baseball team boasts a 16-9 overall record and is undefeated in AMCC play through four games. The Alfred State lineup is hitting .346 in conference play with a team OPS of .930. The Pioneers are hitting a homerun per contest in the AMCC and the leading bats of Nick Serce, Owen Lansing, Tim Holler, Elijah Barinas and Sam Dickerson will look to continue to do damage. The Alfred State lineup boasts power throughout with four hitters averaging a SLG of over .400.

The Alfred State pitching staff has a team ERA of 4.28 with a conference ERA of 1.97. Conference starters Ryan Bailey and Christopher Mattoon will look to continue their dominance on the mound. Bailey is averaging 9 K/9 and Mattoon has allowed only two ER in 14 IP. Top relievers include Josh Van Bramer and Caden Fortunato. Fortunato’s ERA of under 2 comes in 12.1 innings with 9 K’s. Van Bramer has thrown 21.2 innings of relief and has only allowed five ER.

The Bobcats come into this weekend's AMCC Doubleheader as the No. 2 team in the conference. The Bobcats have played 11 of its 18 games since coming home from Spring Break at Bobcats Park. With some left-handed power bats and solid defense, the Cats have taken care of business on campus with an 8-3 record. Three-time AMCC Pitcher of the Week, Nate Mankoski, boasts a 6-0 record coming into the weekend as the Bobcats' ace. Mankoski is gaining national attention as his ERA is just outside the top five in Division III, pitching to a 0.95 ERA.

The bats have been hot as well, as the Bobcats rank No. 5 in Division III with a .363 team batting average and average 9.6 runs per game. It will have to be a combination of both the pitching and the bats in order for the Bobcats to overtake the Pioneers for the No. 1 spot in the conference.
