The Hilbert College and Penn State Behrend baseball teams have been recognized with the 2024-25 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack.
The Hilbert College and Penn State Behrend baseball teams have been recognized with the 2024-25 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack. The Hawks and Lions are among 750 high school and college programs nationwide to receive this prestigious honor.
The award, given by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), recognizes member programs across all levels that maintained a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2024-25 academic year.
Hilbert posted an impressive 3.27 cumulative GPA across the fall and spring semesters. This is the third time the Hawks have earned the ABCA academic distinction under head coach Drew Fittry, having previously received the honor in 2019-20 and 2022-23.
The Lions placed nine student-athletes on the Academic All-AMCC list with four members of the team earning Peak Performer honors for recording a GPA above 3.5 for the school year. This is the ninth consecutive year Behrend has earned the award.
