Capiak had a tremendous week for the Mounties on the mound. In a 4-1 win over PS-Altoona, the junior pitched a complete game, allowing just 1 earned run on 2 hits while striking out 11. He followed this with another complete game performance against D’Youville, this time without giving up any runs and striking out 10 batters. In a total of 14 innings pitched, Capiak gave up only 1 run and 4 hits while striking out 21 and walking 3. BEST OF THE REST: Medaille SR Zach Machmer pitched a complete-game 7 innings, giving up only 1 earned run and striking out 2 in a loss to Pitt-Bradford … La Roche JR Tyler Ferguson registered his first career no-hitter, striking out 10 batters in 7 innings in a win over PS-Behrend … Pitt-Greensburg SR Jeramy Kopacko allowed just 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4 batters in 7 innings to shutout Hilbert … PS-Behrend SR Dante DeSantis threw his second complete-game shutout of the season, striking out 5 and allowing just 2 hits in 7 innings for the win over PS-Altoona … Pitt-Bradford SR Derek Meyer pitched a complete game, striking out 9 and giving up only 2 runs on 3 hits in the win over Medaille … D’Youville JR Mikah Downing earned his first collegiate win after 3 innings and 4 strikeouts against Houghton.
