Bell started the season off strong for the Mounties. He hit .400 for the week with an on-base percentage of .500. In the series, against Mary Baldwin, he banged two homeruns and drove in six, while reaching base six times in the three game set. In the finale, he also stole two bases and added a double. Bell is currently tied for the AMCC-lead with homeruns after the first week. Defensively on the week, Bell recorded 12 putouts along with one assist and turned two double plays.

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona C/1B Logan Margroum had a big four-game stretch for the Lions as they opened their week in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational, as he combined to hit .467 (7-for-15) with seven RBI, four runs scored, three doubles, and a grand slam...Pitt-Greensburg OF Jacob Davey had six hits in 13 at bats while batting .462 through the first weekend of the season, he also recorded an on-base percentage of .500 and picked up one double on the season...Hilbert INF Patrick Whelan logged a pair of multi-hit games against Penn Tech and belted a home run against Bridgewater State on opening day, as he posted a .385 batting average and an impressive 1.198 on base plus slugging percentage (OPS) with six runs batted in and scored two more...PS-Behrend INF Zack Bowen led the Lions offensively in their lone game last week, a win over Kenyon to open their Florida trip, as he went 3-for-4 at the dish, tallying one extra-base hit as well as an RBI and a run scored.
