Jones had an strong week for the Redhawks on the hill, starting two games, coming out of both with a no decision. In Monday's matchup against Washington & Jefferson, Jones tossed seven strong innings, as he allowed two runs (one earned), five hits, walked two and fanned six. He followed that performance in the Redhawks' first game at the Ripken Experience on Sunday against Fredonia, picking up another no decision. Jones tossed six innings, allowing just one run, two hits, two walks and struck out 12 in the process. For the week, Jones threw 13 innings, allowed three runs (two earned) and set down 18 batters with just four walks.

BEST OF THE REST: Hilbert JR Brendan Walsh logged three shutout appearances in relief this past week, as he tossed two scoreless frames against Neumann, allowing just one hitter to reach base safely, then followed that up with a two-inning save against Bridgewater State and concluded the week tossing two perfect frames against national power Catholic University, retiring all six batters he faced while adding a pair of strikeouts...PS-Behrend FR Colin Bolla recorded a zero earned-run average in 5.2 innings pitched in two appearances last week, allowing only four hits with one walk and striking out 12, as he earned his first save against Northwestern (Minn.), throwing 3.2 innings and giving up three hits with 10 strikeouts...Alfred State SR Jon White pitched a great game against Puget Sound, scattering four hits while giving up no runs in 7.0 innings, while also tallying five strikeouts...Mount Aloysius SO Joey DeRubeis earned his first career save, in the Mounties' 3-1 victory against Colby-Sawyer, as he came on in the bottom of the sixth with no outs and the bases loaded, before striking out all three batters he faced, he then struck out two more batters in the seventh to close the door and preserve the victory...PS-Altoona SO Michael Labisi had a pair of solid relief outings for the Lions last week, as he tossed four innings out of the bullpen and limited the Knights to one run on two hits and a walk while striking out one in a loss to Calvin, he then pitched a scoreless 2 1/3 innings in relief against Roger Williams, allowing only two hits and a walk and recording two strikeouts...Pitt-Greensburg FR Nick Laubach went five innings in his one start over the weekend, giving up just one earned run, recording an era of 1.80 and a whip of 1.60.
