Penn State Behrend is selected to successfully defend their AMCC title in 2015, according to the AMCC coaches. The Lions received eight of ten first place votes. Hilbert College was voted to finish second and Medaille College likely to take third.
Medaille senior Guard Jammal Coleman has been tabbed as the AMCC Men's Basketball Pre-Season Player of the Year. Coleman was also selected as the 2013-14 Pre-Season Player of the Year. He finished the 2013-14 season with his second straight First Team All-Conference selection, as he was also first team as a sophomore. Last year he led the Mavericks, and was third in the AMCC, in scoring with 19.1 ppg.
The AMCC Championship will be held Saturday, February 28 at the site of the number one seed, with the winner earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
