OWENS, McLIN NAMED D3 NEWS PRESEASON ALL-AMERICANS

Hilbert College senior F Jerame Owens and La Roche College junior G Sabrina McLin have been tabbed by D3 News as preseason honorable mention all-americans. 

Owens led the Hilbert College men's basketball team in scoring (16.0 ppg), rebounding (10.2 rpg), blocked shots (39), steals (49), made free throws (82), free throw attempts (120), field goal attempts (295) and field goals made (155). He ranked in the top 10 of 16 AMCC statistical categories including 1st in defensive rebounds (184) and defensive rebounds per game (7.4), 2nd in rebounds (256) and rebounds per game (10.2), 2nd in blocked shots (39), 3rd in blocks per game (1.6), and 3rd in offensive rebounds (72). He was named AMCC player of the week for the week ending 2/16/15. On the national level, Owens was 14th in total rebounds, 18th in rebounds per game, and 20th in defensive rebounds per game. He became just the 12th player in program history to join the 1,000 point club and also became Hilbert College's all-time leading rebounder. Owens is currently ranked in the top 10 of 19 different Hilbert College all-time statistical career categories. 

McLin finished the 2014-15 season second in the AMCC in scoring (19.0) and first in free throw percentage (84.3%) and three-pointers (61). On the defensive end, she was eighth in both blocks (18) and steals (45). McLin scored in double figures every conference game, including a 14-game consecutive streak and ten 20+ point games. McLin was a two-time AMCC player of the week in 2014-15.
