AMCC MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: MOUNT ALOYSIUS @ MEDAILLE

The final AMCC men's basketball game of the week for the 2019 season features the Mount Aloysius College Mounties traveling to Buffalo, NY to take on the Mavericks of Medaille College. The Mounties and Mavericks both carry 10-7 conference records and are tied for third place in league standings as they enter the final regular season game. 

The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team enters the final game of the regular season with the program's first home playoff game on the line. They are led by Freshman Carlos Palacio and junior Julian Stover. Palacio is averaging 13.9 points per game on 45.5% shooting. He is in the top 10 in the conference in three-pointers made with 41 and 7th in rebounds per game with 6.5. In AMCC play, Palacio is third in scoring with 15.9 points per game. Stover is averaging 13 points per game and leads the AMCC in free throws made and attempted, hitting 108 out of 147. 

Medaille is in the midst of a tough stretch to end the season, dropping three of their last four which were all on the road. Senior Meghal Ford leads the Mavs averaging 11.3 points per game, including an incredible 30 point performance in Medaille’s win over D’Youville College last week. Juniors Kirk Hawkins (11.0) and Jonathan Smith (10.5) are also averaging double-digit points as the Mavs look to lock up the number three seed in the AMCC playoffs that start next week.
