The Pitt-Bradford and Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball teams enter the AMCC Game of the Week in a three-way tie with Penn State Behrend for fourth place in league standings. Each with 5-6 records in conference play, these teams are all fighting to move up in the stadings to potentially secure a home playoff game in the first round of the conference tournament.
The Panthers are looking to bounce back on Saturday, as they dropped their most recent game to Penn State Behrend on Wednesday evening. Pitt-Bradford is led by senior standout Nathan Schneider, who leads the AMCC in both points (22.7) and rebounds (8.2) per game, while his 57.5 shooting percetage is third-best. Also averaging double figures for the Panthers are sophomore F Phillip Wallace and freshman Jeremy Rodriguez, who contribute 13.3 and 10.4 points per game, respectively.
Pitt-Greensburg is also looking to recover from a mid-week loss after dropping their Wednesday night game to Penn State Altoona. Senior G Jojo France leads the Bobcat offense with 20.4 points per game, good for second in the conference. Freshman G/F Armend Karpuzi ranks first in the AMCC with a 44.4 three-point field goal percentage, knocking down 28 shots from long range on the season. Junior F Reggie Priah contributes 13.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, as he shoots 56.6 percent from the floor.
Pitt-Bradford earned the hard-fought victory over the Bobcats earlier this season, when the Panthers hung on to an 89-86 victory on Jan. 21.
