The Penn State Behrend men's golf team became the first team in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) history to win five straight conference championships with a two-day total of 637 at the Avalon Lakes & Country Club on Monday.

The Lions also captured their seventh overall conference title with a score of 317 on day two to post a 21 stroke advantage over second-place Penn State Altoona. The Altoona Lions finished runner up with a 658 and Pitt-Greensburg placed third with a 670.
Pitt-Greensburg freshman Javon Trout was crowned as the individual medalist with a two-day score of 151 (79/72).
Behrend sophomore Alex Shindledecker, who was two strokes shy of Trout, was the runner-up medalist for the tournament.
Behrend earned the AMCC's automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament in the spring. The championship will be held on May 10-13 in Rochester, NY.
