BEHREND GOLF CAPTURES PITT-BRADFORD INVITATIONAL
The Penn State Behrend men's golf team captured the Pitt-Bradford Fall Invitational with a team-low score of 301 at the Pine Acres Country Club on Saturday.
The Penn State Behrend men's golf team captured the Pitt-Bradford Fall Invitational with a team-low score of 301 at the Pine Acres Country Club on Saturday. Pitt-Greensburg came in second place with a team score of 307, while Grove City College rounded out the top three with a 316.
The Lions finished first out of 16 teams with senior Noah Kunst being the individual medalist, shooting a two under par for a low-score of 70 for his first win to open the season. Sophomore Jack Perfett carded a 72 on the day to finish third overall for the Lions, while freshman Alex Pol, who played for the second Behrend team, placed fourth overall with a 75.
The Bobcats shot a +19, 307 at the 6,511 yard par 72 course. Individually, Javon Trout led the Bobcats with a second place finish after firing a -1, 71, which was just one stroke off Kunst's top score.
Zach Bernstein put together a top-five finish for the Bobcats, as the senior fired a 76 to finish in a tie for fifth with Pitt-Bradford's Matt Moonan and Jarod Chaffee.
