GOLF ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM RELEASED; HEFFELFINGER NAMED GOLFER OF THE YEAR
Penn State Altoona junior Trey Heffelfinger has been named the AMCC Golfer of the Year.
Penn State Altoona junior Trey Heffelfinger has been named the AMCC Golfer of the Year. Heffelfinger shot two of the four rounds under 80 at the AMCC Championship, including the only sub 80 round on day 2, at Even par, 72. He Co-led the Mountain Valley Collgiate Classic after day 1 and his T-2 at The Gauntlet featured seven teams that participated in the May 2022 NCAA Tournament. Heffelfinger led the AMCC in scoring average by more than two shots, finishing with an average of 75.63.
Newcomer of the Year honors goes to Penn State Altoona freshman Jack DiTrani. DiTrani had one of three rounds under 80 in day 1 of the AMCC Championship, ultimately finishing runner-up. He was a steady and consistent player for the Lions all season, finishing third in AMCC scoring average (78.45).
Mount Aloysius College head coach Dylan Link is the AMCC Coach of the Year. Link led the Lions to a runner-up finish at the AMCC championship after a fourth place finish in 2021.
