MEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SET FOR NEXT WEEK
The AMCC Men's Golf Championship is set to tee off on Monday, October 13 at Toftrees Golf Resort in State College, PA to determine the 2025 AMCC men's golf champion. Penn State Altoona has won four straight conference championships and will be looking for their ffifth staight, and tenth overall, conference title.
The top two indiviudal scoring averages in the AMCC belong to the Altoona Lions, as senior Peter Nusbaum tops the conference with a 75.33. Nusbaum is the defending individual medalist and 2024 AMCC Golfer of the Year. Altoona sophomore Nicholas Helsley is right behind Nusbaum with a 76.11 average. Pitt-Greensburg junior Anthony Treonze ranks third in the AMCC with a 76.20. Mount Aloysius College holds down the next three spots, as sophomore Josh Nicholl is fourth with a 76.25, Ethan Batstone is fifth with a 76.43, and William Willis sits in sixth with a 76.63 average. Pitt-Greensburg's Nick Thomas and Zack Abdallah hold down spots seven and eight with 76.7 and 76.9 averages, respectively. Mountie sophomore Viktor Cussil ranks ninth with a 77.0 average, while UPG's Ethan Rice rounds out the top 10 with a 77.40.
Penn State Altoona holds down the top team scoring average with a 305.56. Mount Aloysius carries a 306.92 team average, good for second-best in the league, while Pitt-Greensburg is third with a 308.0.
The tournament is a two day, 36 hole, stroke play event. Monday's first pairings will tee off at 10:00am.
Tuesday's action will commence at 9:00am, with pairings determined by the Day One results. The tournament team champion will receive the AMCC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament which will be held May 12-15, 2026 in at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.
2025 AMCC Men's Golf Champions apparel will be available in the AMCC Store for a limited time immeditately following the conclusion of the tournament on Tuesday afternoon! Championship apparel will be available for approximately three weeks following each championship tournament.
