PENN ST. ALTOONA MEN'S SOCCER, WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL TEAMS EARN BERTHS TO ECAC DIII CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
The Penn State Altoona men's soccer and women's volleyball seasons will continue this weekend, as both Lion teams have earned a berth into the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Championship Tournament.

Men's Soccer:
The Penn State Altoona (11-7-1, 6-2-1 AMCC) men's soccer team was eliminated from the playoffs in AMCC, last Wednesday, November 2 with a loss to Medaille College in the semifinal round. But now the Lions' season remains alive, as the team has been granted entry to the ECAC postseason.
The Lions have earned the number two seed out of four teams in Region 4, and they will face #3 Penn State Harrisburg (11-8, 5-4 CAC) in the first round of the ECAC Tournament this Saturday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be hosted by #1 Alfred University in Alfred, N.Y. The fourth seed in Region 4 is #4 SUNY-Cobleskill.
This is the eighth time in Penn State Altoona men's soccer program history that the team has earned a berth into the ECAC Tournament, with the most recent time occurring in the 2009 season.
Women's Volleyball:
Penn State Altoona (13-13, 8-1 AMCC) has been granted the number four seed out of four teams in Region 1, and the Lady Lions will travel to Arlington, Va. to play Marymount University (23-8, 7-2 CAC), the top seed in Region 1, this Wednesday, November 9 at 4:00 p.m.
The winner of Wednesday's match will play the winner of the other Region 1 match, between #2 Lebanon Valley College and #3 Rutgers University-Camden, in the ECAC Division III Quarterfinals on November 12 at 11:00 a.m.
The Lady Lions' berth into this tournament marks the fifth time in program history that the team has been granted a bid into an ECAC postseason tournament.
