MOUNT ALOYSIUS WOMEN, BEHREND MEN REMAIN IN SOCCER REGIONAL RANKINGS
The Mount Aloysius College women's soccer team remained in the United Soccer Coaches regional rankings as the Mounties moved up one spot to the #8 position in the Great Lakes region, while the Penn State Behrend men's team dropped to the #10 spot .

The Mounties went 1-0-1 last week including a 5-2 defeat of Bethany College and a 2-2 draw with Waynesburg University, who appears in the regional rankings as well at the #10 ranking. Summer Schell led the Mounties during the week as she was named the AMCC Defensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals, including a penalty kick goal that ended up being the game-winning goal in the win over Bethany. Kourtney Walls leads the Mounties this season with four goals. Goalkeeper Lauren Davey currently has a 0.96 goals against average and .833 save percentage for Mount Aloysius.
The Mounties are 6-0-1 overall and have outscored their opponents by a 17-6 margin.
Penn State Behrend stands 4-2-1 on the season. The Behrend Lions dropped a close 1-0 decision at Grove City College yesterday. The Wolverines came in ranked No. 8 in this week's Great Lakes Region rankings. Midfielder Christian Eckberg leads the Lions, and is tied for third in the conference, with two goals on the season. Senior goalkeeper Chris Ralph is tops in the conference with an .867 save percentage, four goals-against, and a 0.55 goals-against average.
The Behrend Lions will open Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play this Saturday, September 22 at La Roche College. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
