The Lions struck early and held on to keep the season going. John Ziobro tallied his seventh goal of the season off an assist from Blake Cooper. In the 22nd minute, Cooper sent a pass to the top of the box for a one-touch shot by Ziobro into the lower left corner. Behrend held a 17-5 shot advantage, making Bobcats goalie Danny Rodgers make nine stops. The Lions defense held Pitt-Greensburg to 270 scoreless minutes this season. Behrend GK Sam York recorded his 12th shutout of the season behind one save in the 90 minutes of work.
Behrend will face the winner of Alvernia and Goucher next Saturday in the ECAC Semifinals. Time and place to be determined.
