MOUNT ALOYSIUS, PITT-GREENSBURG ADVANCE TO MEN'S SOCCER SEMIFINALS
#3 Mount Aloysius College and #5 Pitt-Greensburg each earned victories in the First Round of the AMCC Men's Soccer Championship Tournament to advance to the semifinal round. The Mounties defeated #6 Pitt-Bradford 4-0, while the Bobcats narrowly upset #4 Hilbert College 1-0.

Mount Aloysius 4, Pitt-Bradford 0
The third-seeded Mounties defeated the Panthers 4-0 in first round action. Luke Traynor connected for the Mounties at the 3:44 mark to give Mount Aloysius the quick 1-0 lead. Louis Bez then caught fire and added two more goals in the second half, scoring at the 28:45 and 34:59 marks, respectively, to give the Mounties a 3-0 lead at the break. Bez added one more insurance goal in the second half at the 64:25 mark to set the 4-0 final score.
Mount Aloysius will travel to Erie, PA on Wednesday to take on #2 Penn State Behrend with a 12:00pm kickoff.
Pitt-Greensburg 1, Hilbert 0
The Bobcats took down the Hawks of Hilbert 1-0 off a Nick Ricciardi goal with an assist from Arlo McIntyre.
The Bobcats and Hawks were even at three shots each in the first half, but the tides changed in the second haf as the Hawks outshout the Bobcats 7-2. One of the Bobcats two shots was the game-winning goal. Sophomore keeper Brett Barnes made seven saves for the Bobcats, one of his best statistical game of the season, to secure the shutout.
The Bobcats will travel back to New York on Wednesday to take on No. 1 seeded Alfred State College at 6:00 PM on the turf of Pioneer Stadium.
