Lang recorded three goals and one assist in two games from the midfield, sparking the Medaille offense during a 2-0 start to 2017. His helper came in a 2-0 win over Elmira in the opener and he followed that up with his first career hat trick against Alfred State in an 8-1 win.

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend F Matt Dziadosz notched a goal and an assist in the first two games for the Lions, as he fired a left-footed laser in the corner of the net to lift the Lions over SUNY Geneseo in overtime, while also providing an assist in the 3-0 win over DeSales to help Behrend open the season 2-0...Mount Aloysius M Will Funez scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Goucher on Sunday to hand the Mounties a 2-1 victory, as he led the Mounties offensively with eight shots in a 2-0 weekend...Franciscan F Leo Herrmann scored the team's only goal of the week, a PK with 16 minutes to play in the first half against Thiel, to lift the Barons to a 1-0 victory over the Tomcats...Hilbert F Travis Hicks led the Hilbert attack with one goal against Wells College and several created chances using his speed to drive at defenders on the counter attack...Pitt-Bradford M Ugwunna Amadi scored the first goal of his collegiate career and also gave the Panthers their first goal of the season on a give-and-go at Lancaster Bible, the goal was a notable one for the Panthers, who did not score their first goal of the 2016 season until September 28.
