Sam York, Penn State Behrend, Men's Soccer (Defensive)

York went 2-1 this week with nine saves, including one on a penalty kick in the Herb Lauffer Memorial Championship game on Sunday. He posted a 6-0 shutout with two saves vs. Morrisville and then made five stops in his second win of the season in the HLM Title game.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend GK Sam York went 2-1 this week with nine saves, including one on a penalty kick in the Herb Lauffer Memorial Championship game on Sunday. He posted a 6-0 shutout with two saves vs. Morrisville and then made five stops in his second win of the season in the HLM Title game.

 


BEST OF THE REST: Medaille GK David Mighten started both games in goal, allowing two goals and recording nine saves, helping shut out Thiel College on Saturday and playing a total of 171:22 minutes...PS-Altoona D Owen Myers helped anchor a Lions back line in his first two collegiate games, helping to limit Gallaudet to one goal in Penn State Altoona's season-opening 5-1 win.
