MEN'S SWIMMERS PREPARE FOR AMCC-SUNYAC CHAMPIONSHIP
The AMCC men's swimming and diving teams will take to the starting blocks this week for the AMCC-SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championship Meet. The AMCC and SUNYAC conferences are combining for their first joint championship in 2025. The event will take place at the Burt Flickinger Center on the downtown campus of SUNY Erie (formerly Erie Community College) in Buffalo, NY. The events will kick off Wednesday evening and concluding Saturday, February 22.

Alfred State College enters the championship tournament boasting two-time AMCC Diver of the Year Conor Compton. Compton, a three-time All-American, set a new AMCC-dive record at the Dick Comanzo Invite on Jan. 26, as he recorded a score of 550.75 on the 1-meter board, while also recording a score of 563.40 on the 3-meter board, for a first place finish. Pioneer senior Parker Brod ranks in the AMCC top 10 in four different races, including the 50-yard freestyle (6th, 22.41), the 100-yard freestyle (6th, 49.62), the 50-yard backstroke (7th, 26.72), and the 100-yard backstroke (6th, 57.26). Fellow senior Riley Hoyt has recorded the third-best time in the conference in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:17.61) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.04), while holding down the fifth-best time in the 500-yard freestyle (4:57.60).
Penn State Altoona's Adam Dotts has recorded five top-10 times in the conference this season, including an AMCC-best time of 28.55 in the 50-yard breaststroke. Dotts also ranks third in the conference with a 22.13 finish in the 50-yard freestyle and a 57.78 in the 100-yard medley relay. Dotts has also recorded the fourth-best time in the conference in the 100-yard freestyle (48.65) and a seventh-best time of 1:02.11 in the 100-yard breaststroke. Caden Traggiai finds himself in the top-10 in eight different races, including the top time in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:41.75. Traggiai also sits in second in the 500-yard freestyle (4:49.38) and is third in the 1000-yard freestyle. Hunter McMullen leads the conference in the 50-yard buttlerfly (24:06) and ranks second in the 100-yard butterfly (51.68).
Penn State Behrend SR Tim Compton has recorded the top time in the conference in six different categories, including the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.87), 500-yard freestyle (4:48.66), 100-yard butterfly (50.66), 200-yard butterfly (1:51.36), 200-yard individual medley (1:53.39), and 400-yard individual medley (4:11.62). Also recording multiple top times in the AMCC for the Lions are Anthony Tumino (50 free, 20.78 and 100 free, 45.76), Glenn Fowkes (100 back, 52.07 and 200 back, 1:55.07), and Will Perham (100 breast, 56.61 and 200 breast, 2:08.22).
Pitt-Bradford junior Conan Young sits in the top five in the AMCC in four different races for the Panthers. Young has recorded the best time in the conference in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:01.31), the second-best time in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:48.36) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:21.42), and third-best in the 500-yard freestyle (4:50.13).
