BEHREND WINS FOURTH STRAIGHT AMCC MEN'S TENNIS TITLE

Penn State Behrend defeated Penn State Altoona 4-1 to win the AMCC division of the Atlantic East championship and will advance to face Marymount University, the Atlantic East division winner next weekend. The win marks the Lions' fourth straight championship and 10th overall title.
Behrend and Altoona met for the third straight AMCC championship, splitting matches during the regular season. Jonathon Laier and Graham Louis were double winners in the championship match, starting at No. 1 doubles by a score of 6-3. Owen Sinnott and Carson Souser managed a 6-4 decision to help the Lions clinch the doubles point for a 1-0 lead heading into singles. Sinnott earned the first singles point at the No. 2 spot, then Graham Louis put Behrend ahead 3-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles. Vitaliy Pikalo clinched the final point the Lions needed at No. 3 singles. Pikalo won the first set 6-4, before falling 6-1 and then winning 6-2. No. 1 singles (Laier/Casey Hess) and No. 5 singles (William Thomas/Kadyn Carey) were unfinished.
Altoona's lone point came from Gabe Lopez at No. 6 singles
