Brudy did not give up a set point in singles or doubles action against Pitt-Bradford on Saturday. He swept at No. 3 singles and then won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles for the Lions' first conference win. Brudy was also the lone singles winner vs. Nazareth in the season opener on Wednesday.

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona JR Micah Brinker got his season off to a solid start on Saturday in the St. Vincent College Fall Invitational, going 1-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles, posting a 6-3, 6-2 win in No. 4 singles against Waynesburg, and also was part of an 8-7 (7-3) victory in No. 2 doubles in the match...Mount Aloysius FR Matt Jacobs won his first career collegiate match in his debut at No. 5 Singles for the Mounties, as he went to three sets and was one of only two points won by the Mounties on day.
