BEHREND, GENEVA TO CLASH IN MEN'S VOLLEYBALL TITLE GAME
The seeding held true through the semifinal round of the AMCC men's volleyball playoffs, with Penn State Behrend, the top seed from the north and defending champion, taking on Geneva College, the #1 seed from the south.

The host Lions turned away Saint Vincent College in the opening match Saturday, 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-19). OH Dylan Buzalka and MH Owen Wenzkowski contributed 11 kills each, while S Alex Jackson recorded 31 assists and L Adrian Martinez had 19 digs. The Bearcats' attack was led by OH Shawn McSwiggen (11 kills, 3 blocks), OH Zebadiah Wyant (10 kills, 2 blocks) and S Zach Wyant (25 assists, 9 digs).
The second semifinal was a four set battle between Geneva and Thiel College. The Tomcats dominated the first set, 25-16 but the Golden Tornadoes shook off their slow start, roaring back to take to take the next three, 25-20, 26-24, 25-22. Geneva got standout performances from MB Byron Spear (17 kills, 14 digs), OH Jake Williams (15 kills), and S Curtis Thomas (24 assists). Thiel's statistical leaders were OH Zac Smith (18 kills, 9 digs), MH Jake Dies (14 kills), and S Ethan Cooper (44 assists).
Saturday's champion will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III national tournament.
