BEHREND MVB PREDICTED TO FINISH FIRST, ACCORDING TO LEAGUE COACHES

Penn State Behrend has been selected by league coaches to finish at the top of the men’s volleyball conference standings in 2024. Geneva College is expected to finish in second place, with Thiel College rounding out the top three.

Penn State Behrend senior S Alex Jackson and Saint Vincent College senior OH Matthew Minkin have been named AMCC Preseason Co-Players of the Year.

Jackson was an AMCC first-team all-conference selection in 2023. He led the AMCC in total assists (845) and was second in assists per set (8.54) a season ago. Jackson was named to the AMCC All-Tournament Team in 2023.

Minkin was also an AMCC first team all-conference selection last season. He led the AMCC in kills per set (3.67) and points per set (4.0). He ranked fifth in digs per set (2.61) and sixth in hitting percentage (.250). He recorded 10 or more kills in 20 different matches. Minkin was named to the 2023 AMCC All-Tournament Team.

The AMCC Championship will be held April 13 at the site of the #1 seed.
