BUFFALO STATE TOPS MEN'S VOLLEYBALL COACHES PRESEASON POLL
Buffalo State University has been selected by league coaches to finish at the top of the men’s volleyball conference standings and defend their conference title in 2026. Penn State Behrend is expected to finish in second place, with Penn State Altoona rounding out the top three.
Penn State Altoona sophomore opposite hitter Caleb Fries has been selected as the AMCC Preseason Player of the Year. Fries was named the 2025 AMCC Newcomer of the Year and was an AMCC first team all-conference selection. He led the conference in points (418.5), kills (333), service aces (52), and service aces per set (0.53). Fries also ranked second in the AMCC in points per set (4.2) and kills per set (3.36) and was a three-time AMCC Offensive Player of the Week.
The AMCC Championship will be held Saturday, April 11 at the site of the highest remaining seed.
