Shawn McSwiggen, Saint Vincent College, Men's Volleyball (Offensive)

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Saint Vincent OH Shawn McSwiggen averaged 6.13 kills per set on a .351 hitting percentage, while also averaging 3.50 digs and totaling two blocks and three service aces, over the Bearcats' 2-0 week. His biggest performance came in Wednesday's five-set win over Penn State-Altoona, as he broke his own program record with 32 kills, while adding 12 digs for the double-double. Three days later, in a 3-0 shutout of Penn State-Behrend, McSwiggen led both sides with 17 kills, while adding 28 digs, two solo blocks and three service aces. For the week, McSwiggen averaged 6.8 points per set. 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend S Alex Jackson reached 2,000 career assists with 33 helpers against Saint Vincent on Saturday, while also posting a double-double with 10 digs...Hilbert OH Alex Overhoff had a stellar showing for the Hawks with 29 kills, hitting .415, adding an ace, two assists, and 16 digs...Thiel OPP Will Zimmerman helped lead the Tomcats to a 2-0 week with wins over Wells and Geneva, as he recorded 20 kills, including 15 in the Tomcats' win over Geneva, while also adding eight digs and one block...PS-Altoona MB Jared Kish had a strong week in a 1-1 week of AMCC play for the Lions, as he tallied 15.5 points on 14 kills, one ace, and one block assist while posting a .400 attack percentage in Wednesday's loss to Saint Vincent, he then recorded three points on three kills in a victory over Wells...Carlow OH Russ Cyprowski led the Celtics with 28 kills and hit .242 in conference action last week...Mount Aloysius OH Andrew Wlodarczyk had a solid week, helping the Mounties go 2-0, as he hit .368 with 11 kills and just four errors while also adding three aces in a victory over Carlow, he then followed that with 11 more kills against Chatham, hititng .320 with three errors.
