FRANCISCAN FRESHMEN RUNNERS TABBED ECAC ROOKIES OF THE WEEK

Franciscan University freshmen cross country runners Joseph Gallagher and Emily Theurer have been tabbed as the ECAC South Rookie Runners of the Week for the week ending September 13. 

Gallagher was the top Franciscan finisher in the Bethany College Invitational. Gallagher ran at a 5:36 pace, finishing the 8K course in 27:48. He was the top AMCC runner in the meet, finishing eighth overall out of 149 runners.

Theurer was once again the top finisher for the Lady Barons at the Bethany College Invitational. She ran at a 6:47 pace, completing the 6K course in 25:07. Theurer finished ahead of all other AMCC runners, coming in 12th place out of 143 total runners. She also helped Franciscan to a sixth-place finish, highest among AMCC schools.
