BARONS TAKE SIXTH AT BETHANY INVITE
Franciscan University freshman Matthew Crotteau led the Baron men's cross country team to a sixth place finish at the Bethany College Invitational Saturday morning, while La Roche College finished in 12th place.
Franciscan University freshman Matthew Crotteau led the Baron men's cross country team to a sixth place finish at the Bethany College Invitational Saturday morning, while La Roche College finished in 12th place.
Crotteau took 16th place with a time of 29:11 as not only the fast Baron, but the fastest runner out of the AMCC schools present. Sophmore Nick Long was the next Baron to finish as he took 29th place with a time of 30:29. Long was followed closesly behind by classmate Grady Stuckman at 30:46, good enough for 32nd place.
Franciscan junior Tim Jackson (32:06) and freshman Patrick Tansill (32:07) finished within one second of each other while junior Jack Scott took 61st place at 36:27 and Martin Wolk came in at 41:05.
La Roche freshman Patrick Dailey paced the men's team with a 36:35 on the 8K course and place 62nd. Junior Hemang Sherma came in just seventeen seconds later in 64th place while senior Brandon Hartz, junior Johnny Nicholson and senior Bryan Gatto rounded out the top 5.
