MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS SET SIGHTS ON CHAMPIONSHIP

AMCC cross country teams will head to Erie, PA this weekend for the 2019 AMCC Men's Cross Country Championship. Franciscan University will be looking for their second straight conference title, as they return three of their top five runners from last year's championship team.
2018 AMCC Runner of the Year, Franciscan junior Liam Galligan, has continued to dominate once again this season. Galligan holds the top four times in the conference, with his best outing coming on August 30 at the Westminster College Fisher Invitational, when he finished the 8K course in 24:37.4. Junior Mark Borek finished the Fisher Invite in 25:37.0, good for 5th best in the conference this season. Baron freshman Miguel Daez recorded two top-ten times of his own, holding down the 7th and 8th spots, including a 25:53.0 finish at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble.
Penn State Behrend junior Phoenix Myers has recorded the 6th best time this season, completing the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble in 25:51.0. Fellow junior Zach Workman's 25:56.0 finish at the Fisher Invite ranks him 9th in the conference.
The AMCC Championship will take place on Saturday, November 2 at Penn State Behrend. The men's race will begin at 11 a.m. with the women to follow at 12:15 p.m.
