BEHREND MEN EARN 5TH STRAIGHT MXC TITLE; BOYD TAKES INDIVIDUAL HONORS
The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team captured its fifth straight and 16th overall AMCC Championship with 23 total points at the 2024 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships on Saturday.

The Lions earned 23 team points, placing ahead of second place Alfred State (37 points) to claim the conference title, followed by Hilbert (83) and La Roche (107).
The Lions claimed six of the top 10 times on Saturday, as sophomore Lucas Boyd was crowned the AMCC Champion with a top time of 27:40.5. This marks the first individual championship for Boyd after earning AMCC Runner-Up honors last season.
Alfred State's Christian Wescott was the runner-up, crossing the finish line in 28:23.4, while the Pioneer's Max Knight was third with a time of 28:37.0. Penn State Behrend claimed the next five place finishes with Bennett Kerr (29:00.0), Peyton Brewer (29:04.01), Aidan Reinsel (29:05.8), Timothy Hamilton (29.09.8), and Alex Haskins (29:18.6) filling in spots four through eight. Pitt-Greensburg senior Dylan Ackerman finished ninth in 29:44.9 while Alfred State's Mamadou Barry rounded out the top 10 by crossing the finish line in 29:58.7.
