The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team placed 15th with a team score of 382 at NCAA Regional Championships Saturday afternoon, hosted by Fredonia.
Reigning AMCC Runner of the Year Lucas Boyd scored a top finish for the Lions, as he tallied a season-best time of 26:47.8 for 43rd place out of 166 runners. The next Behrend runner to cross the finish line was Bennett Kerr in 86th place with a time of 27:48.4. In his first regional race, Peyton Brewer finished with a season-best mark of 27:49.0 for 88th. Freshman Tim Hamilton rounded out the top 100 in 92nd place with a career-best time of 27:50.9.
The Alfred State men's cross country had two finishers in the top 75 at the NCAA Niagara Regionals. The freshman duo of Christian Wescott and Max Knight were the Pioneers top finishers. Wescott was first across with a time of 27:03.9 for 55th place, a few seconds later Knight crossed the line to take 70th place with a time of 27:26.7. Mamadou Barry took 132nd place with a time of 29:32.4.
New York University was victorious with a team score of 29, followed by Geneseo (30) and Brockport (86)
