PITT-BRADFORD, PENN ST. ALTOONA LEAD THE PACK AFTER DAY ONE OF SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

#4 seed Pitt-Bradford took home two wins today, including a big 1-0 decision over top seed Penn St. Behrend, to share the early lead in the AMCC softball championship tournament with #2 Penn St. Altoona.

The Panthers started the day with a 3-0 victory over #5 D'Youville College.  Senior pitcher Sydney Mosby threw both shutouts.  As the #2 seed, Penn St. Altoona had a first round bye.  The Lions posted a 12-4 (6) win over #3 Mount Aloysius College in their only competition of the day, rocking the Mounties for 9 runs in the sixth inning to stage the comeback.

The tournament is double elimination format, so all teams will return on Saturday.
