PENN ST. BEHREND EARNS TOP SEED, TO HOST SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT STARTING FRIDAY

Penn St. Behrend, with a 15-3 record in conference play, has secured the #1 seed in the AMCC softball tournament and will host the six-team, double elimination playoff beginning Friday.

It will be the second time in three years that the Lions will host.  They are five-time champions, last winning the title in 2012.

In a tight race throughout the standings, final seedings were not determined until today.  Penn St. Altoona is the defending champion and earned the #2 seed, followed by Mount Aloysius College at #3, Pitt-Bradford at #4, D'Youville College at #5 and La Roche College at #6.
