AMCC SOFTBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: D'YOUVILLE AT MOUNT ALOYSIUS
The AMCC Softball Game of Week features two teams battling for the top spots in conference seeding. Mt. Aloysius (17-11, 9-3 AMCC) enters the game fourth in the AMCC, while D'Youville (15-7, 8-2 AMCC) is in second place. Last season, the Mounties swept the series 3-0.

The AMCC Softball Game of Week features two teams battling for the top spots in conference seeding. Mt. Aloysius (17-11, 9-3 AMCC) enters the game fourth in the AMCC, while D'Youville (15-7, 8-2 AMCC) is in second place. Last season, the Mounties swept the series 3-0.
The Mount Aloysius softball team enters Saturday's doubleheader against D'Youville with an overall record of 17-13 and 9-3 mark in the AMCC. The Mounties have won six of their past eight contests and have been spearheaded offensively by sophomores Chelsea Engeholm, Alexandria Teeter and Hayley McGowan. Engeholm is hitting .361 with 35 runs scored, which ties for first among all players in the conference. Teeter boasts a team-best 26 RBIs (third in the AMCC) to go with a .354 average at the plate. McGowan is hitting .318 with 18 RBIs from the catcher position, and junior Taylor Swatsworth is 8-for-8 on stolen base attempts. On the mound, senior ace Kelsey Ickes has registered 139 strikeouts, which ranks her first in the conference by a landslide and among the top-10 in the nation. Ickes has an 8-4 record with 14 complete games and two shutouts on the season. Freshman Sam Crilley has notched a 7-6 mark as the Mounties #2 pitcher with nine complete games to her credit.
The D'Youville softball team enters the game in second place in the AMCC. Led by three-time AMCC Pitcher of the Week and AMCC Preseason Pitcher of the Year junior Kalie McHenry, the Spartans own the lowest ERA in the conference at 2.44. McHenry leads the AMCC in ERA at 1.30 and wins with 11. In their most recent doubleheader, D'Youville split with the Penn State-Behrend Lions and had gone 7-1 in their previous eight games. The Spartans have scored 69 runs in their 10 conference games and have allowed 25. Leading the offense is current AMCC Player of the Week, junior MacKenzie Kehlenbeck. The shortstop hit .478 with 11 hits, eight runs and 13 RBIs in eight games last week. Over the weekend, Kehlenbeck accounted for two home runs, six RBIs, four hits and two runs. Kehlenbeck currently leads the team in home runs, RBIs and stolen bases. Setting the table for the Spartan offense all season long has been previous AMCC Player of the Week junior left fielder Lydia Monin. As the team's leadoff hitter, Monin has gotten a hit in 19 of 22 games and reached base in 20 of them. Lydia leads the team with a .391 batting average and has scored a team high 22 runs. Also making big contributions this season for D'Youville have been sophomore Hannah Turek (third in batting average and second in wins and RBI), junior first baseman Lauren DeVantier (second in batting average) and junior center fielder Amanda Drake (tied for third in RBIs and second in home runs and playing great defense).
