FRANCISCAN'S EFFERTZ NAMED ECAC SOUTH PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Franciscan University sophomore Jayln Effertz earned her second weekly honor in as many days as she was named the ECAC South Pitcher of the Week, Tuesday afternoon. 

Effertz finished the week 4-1 with her only loss coming in a close 2-0 defeat to Albertus Mangus College. The sophomore threw four complete games, finishing the week with an impressive 0.75 ERA over 28.0 innings of work. Effertz struck out 25 batters, averaging 6.25 strikeouts per seven innings. 

The Lady Barons doubleheader against Baldwin Wallace scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until April 18 and will now take on the Pitt.-Bradford on Sunday, March 25 at 1:00 pm to kick off AMCC action.
