The Behrend Lions are 2-0 in conference play after sweeping Pitt-Bradford 9-2, 11-3 on Wednesday afternoon. AJ Nichols leads Behrend this season with a .389 batting average, while ranking second in the AMCC with 17 RBI. Carson Hauser's nine stolen bases and two home runs are both tied for second-most in the conference. Nichols has also been a leader in the circle, as her six wins is tops in the conference and her 3.47 ERA is a team-best.
Penn St. Altoona enters the game of the week with a 1-1 conference record after splitting with Pitt-Greensburg 3-4, 9-1 on Wednesday. Third baseman Abby Showers leads the Lady Lions, and ranks fourth in the conference, with a .422 batting average. Haley Giedroc's seven stolen bases is tied for fourth the in the AMCC. In the circle, Sidney Lewis leads the Lions with a 3.86 ERA and 21 strikeouts.
