AMCC SOFTBALL GAMES OF THE WEEK: PENN STATE BEHREND @ LA ROCHE

AMCC Softball Games of the Week:
Penn State Behrend @ La Roche

Penn State Behrend will be traveling to Pittsburgh, PA on Sunday to take on the La Roche University Redhawks in the AMCC Softball Game of the Week.

The Lions are currently 4-10 overall as they enter their first games in conference play. Maddie Smith and Emi Curcuo lead Behrend with 13 hits a piece, while Sierra Williams is tied for first in the conference with three home runs, as she also leads her team with eight RBI and has scored six runs of her own. Cami McNany has recorded 11 hits on the season, including two home runs and seven RBI and two runs scored. In the cirlce, Kayla Lindberg and Maria Jones have each picked up two wins, while Lindberg and Abby Tingley have each added a save. 

Since returning home from spring training in Florida, the La Roche Softball team has hit the ground running. They’ve been disappointed by some tough losses, but the team hasn’t let it get them down and has returned to the diamond with a determination that has led them to wins over competitive teams like Waynesburg, the defending PAC Champions. Kennedi Winslow for the Redhawks was recently named AMCC Pitcher of the Week after her performance in the circle against the Yellow Jackets. She has also earned one of the first four spots in the La Roche lineup, leading the team with 17 hits so far this season. Garrah Milochik the sophomore catcher, is leading the team in RBI with 14. She has also earned herself an on-base percentage of .477. Brandi Clyde is leading the Redhawk defense with 55 put-outs, and not a single error to her name in all 13 games La Roche has battled in.
