AJ Nichols, Penn State Behrend, Softball - Pitcher

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend SO AJ Nichols earned a pair of wins this week, allowing just one earned run for a 0.58 ERA. She pitched 12 innings, including a complete game in a 3-1 win over Penn State Altoona in the AMCC Game of the Week. Nichols fanned five batters and only walked two. The victory over Altoona was crucial in keeping Behrend in first place heading into the final week of regular season play. 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona SR Kate Burge went 2-0 with two complete games and a 0.82 ERA, pitching 17 innings and allowing only nine hits, five walks, and two earned runs while striking out 11...Pitt-Bradford FR Morgan Bellush went 1-0 with a 1.00 ERA in three appearances last week while leading the Panthers to a 4-2 record against AMCC opponents, while also tossing a seven-inning no-hitter against Franciscan to open the week...Franciscan FR Jayln Effertz walked away with one of the two Lady Baron wins on the week as she tossed a three-hit complete game win against Hilbert, striking out six and finishing the week with 10...D'Youville SR Hannah Turek had a solid week for the Spartans this past week, picking up two big wins over Pitt-Greensburg and Alfred State while recording 13 strikeouts in 20.2 innings and ending the week with a 2.03 ERA...Mount Aloysius FR Hannah Ruby went 2-1, including two complete-game victories and posting a 2.50 ERA...Hilbert SO Rachel Allen is getting back into form after preseason knee injury, as she went 2-1 in the cirlce, throwing 17.0 innings and finishing the week with a 1.24 ERA...La Roche JR Savannah Leonard went 1-1 with a 5.38 ERA in 13 innings.
