Best had a big week at the plate and in the circle for the Lions, who capped off their Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic trip by going 6-2 across their last eight games. The junior combined to hit .462 (12-for-26) with 15 RBI, 12 runs scored, four doubles, four walks, one triple, one home run, and one stolen base. Best compiled a .548 on-base percentage and a .808 slugging percentage while collecting 21 total bases. In the circle, she went 2-0 with a 1.14 ERA. In a win over Mitchell, she got the start and finished with a no-decision after going three innings and allowing just one run on two hits and three walks with one strikeout. The junior came into Wednesday's win over Martin Luther in relief to pick up the victory, tossing 2 1/3 spotless innings in her appearance. Best then got the start and pitched a complete game in Thursday's win over Valley Forge, yielding only two hits, one run, and no walks while striking out 11 batters. On the week, Best was 2-0 with a 1.14 ERA and a .57 WHIP while pitching 12 1/3 innings and striking out 12 batters.

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State OF Abbie Millard led the Pioneers as she batted .500 on the week with 15 hits, five doubles, one triple, one homerun, 11 RBI, and four stolen bases...PS-Behrend INF Chloe Nale hit .650 in seven games, helping the Lions to a 6-1 record this week, she tallied at least a hit in each game, going 13-for-20 with nine RBI, scored six runs and smacked a triple, she had multiple RBI in two games, knocking four runs in against Ohio Wesleyan...Pitt-Bradford OF Miranda Groll had a great week for Pitt-Bradford, going 17-for-29 (.586 avg) with 12 runs scored, two extra base hits, two RBI, and three stolen bases, while also tracking down 21 fly balls in centerfield without an error...La Roche OF Brooke Murgenovich had a strong week for the Redhawks during their time in Florida, as she hit .500 (8-for-16), drew four walks, had an on-base percentage of .600, scored eight runs and stole seven bases across the six games last week...Hilbert 3B Shelby Schimek batted .429 with a .667 slugging percentage while registering five doubles, she was also perfect at 3B with a 1.000 fielding percentage...Carlow OF Kamyia Morris stood out at the plate despite a slow start for the team at spring training, as she hit 9-for-15 with a triple, two RBI and a walk to lead the Celtics with a .600 average and .625 OBP, while also tallying three stolen bases.
